Sunblock That Skin!
Most of us look forward to summer. As much fun as summer can be, it can also be a hazardous time for our skin. One of the most important things to remember is sunblock. This is a necessary tool to avoid the danger of skin cancer. Any exposed skin needs to be sun blocked and not just in the summertime, but all year as well. Anything that we do outdoors requires an SPF of 30 or higher and should be reapplied every 2 hours. I personally was not an outdoorsy person until I became the mother of a beautiful little girl who would live outside all year round if she could! Even if we’re just out taking a quick walk for ice cream or having a fun day at the park, the sunscreen is always on us. Some spots we forget to sun block (and men are especially guilty of this!) are lips, ears, feet, the back of our necks and our scalp! I find that the neatest way to protect our scalp from the harmful sun’s rays is to use a spray on sun block. A scalp burn is excruciating and can be easily avoided. So, be smart and remember to apply and reapply that sunblock. It only takes a minute and it will save your skin and your life. Have a safe and fun summer!
